  1. How We Collect and Use Your Personal Information

  1. Overview

[PetsPhone] believes that fundamental privacy rights must apply equally regardless of where you live in the world. That's why we treat any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual as "personal information" no matter where they might live, and that applies particularly to name, identity, location, online identifier, or physical, physiological, genetic, mental, or any other related characteristics that can reasonably be used to identify an individual.

We only collect the information necessary for special, specific, explicit, and legitimate purposes and shall ensure that your information will not be further processed for any other purposes. We will request your consent again if we intend to use your personal information for any purposes not specified herein.

We will collect your personal information, including 1) the information you provide directly (such as the nickname, avatar, name, and phone number you provide when you sign in to the account); 2) the information generated during your use of the Software (such as device information and service log information), which will be automatically collected by us; and 3) the information we acquire from other sources.

You have the right to decide whether to provide your personal information when using [PetsPhone] products or services or when we request it. You are not required to provide personal information to [PetsPhone] at any time. However, choosing not to provide it may prevent [PetsPhone] from being able to provide you with certain products or services or respond to issues you may encounter and limit [PetsPhone]'s ability to resolve them. We will only collect and use your personal information for the purposes stated herein. The following are examples explaining why we collect your personal information:

  1. [PetsPhone]'s Main Service Functions and Information Collection and Usage Scenarios

This Software binds with a smartwatch or other wearable device to provide you and the Watch User with professional services for tracking daily activity and managing health indicators and your smart devices.

  1. Providing You with Smartwatch Binding Services

We provide you with the services through your PetsPhone account. You can bind your smartwatch by scanning a QR code on the Software. When you perform the binding, we will collect the phone number you provide to enable account registration and ensure account security. Refusing to provide information will limit your ability to register an account with PetsPhone or use related functions.

We will request camera permissions when you use the QR code scanning function. Refusing to grant such permissions will prevent you from using this function to complete the binding between [PetsPhone] and the smartwatch.

  1. Providing You with Smartwatch Management Services

    1. Personal information services. When using the personal information services, you may choose to provide, add, fill in, or modify the following information for the Watch User: nickname (may be a real name), avatar (may be a real photo), gender, date of birth, height, weight, school, grade, restricted usage duration during classtime, watch number, and watch contact information for display within the Software. Because of the sensitive nature of this information, you are free to adjust the settings as needed at any time.

    2. Location services. When you use location-based services provided by PetsPhone, we will request location permissions and when granted collect the precise location information to ensure the relevance of the services provided. Specifically, when you enable the electronic fence function, we will collect the Watch User’s location and send you a notification when the user leaves the designated area. We process the information in real time to return the results to you and do not save any information about your precise location. We may collect the home address you submit to enable functions such as location tracking. You can disable and stop location services at any time at Phone > Settings > Location Services.

  2. Providing You with Micro-Chat Services

When you use our chat service to send text or voice messages to your family and other contacts, we process those text and voice messages in real time to facilitate the transmission of such messages. Please rest assured that your communications are always encrypted before being stored on our servers. We process your data in real time to return the results to you and do not save it. Refusing to provide such information will prevent us from providing you with the aforementioned functions or services, though you will still be able to use other functions of [PetsPhone].

When you use this function, we will request microphone permissions to send voice messages. Refusing to provide such permissions may prevent us from being able to offer the service, though you will still be able to use other functions of the Software.

  1. Providing You with Sports and Health Data Management Services

The sports module on PetsPhone and some other smartwatches collects the Watch User’s daily step count, target step count, distance traveled, and calories burned for display in PetsPhone and on the watch leaderboard and for easy tracking and viewing. This information is mandatory. Refusing to provide it will prevent us from providing you with the sports and health data management services, though you will still be able to use other functions of the Software.

  1. Providing You with Information Feedback Services

Should you encounter any issues while using our services, you can reach out and seek assistance through our feedback channel. We may collect your feedback and contact information (mobile phone number, email address, or other contact information you leave). This is to help you resolve issues, establish contact, or to document solutions and results related to the issues. Should you choose not to provide this information, we may be unable to offer you the Services. However, this will not affect your use of other functions of the Software.

  1. Other Situations where Your Information May Be Collected

Where permitted by laws, we may collect your personal information from other individuals, business entities, public channels, or other third parties indicated by you, other partners who help us provide our products or services or assist us in ensuring information security and preventing frauds, and other legitimate avenues. We will inform you and collect your information with your consent.

We may also collect other information about you, your device, or your use of the Services in other ways that will be described to you at the time of collection for your consent.

To improve our product layout and offer you better services, we may carry out researches, statistical analyses, and predictions on the collected information in an anonymized manner (including machine learning or model algorithm training based on anonymized data). We will take technical measures and other necessary actions to process the collected personal information so that such information cannot identify any individual person and cannot be recovered. As permitted by applicable laws and regulations, we do not need to inform you separately for your consent for the use of such anonymized data.

  1. How We Use Cookies and Other Similar Technologies
